Our Story

Hi there! We’re Jared & Katrina Gober

From best friends, newlyweds, to fiber farmers… and loving every minute of it. Follow along on our journey and get to know us by Getting up with the Gobers (follow @goberfarms) or come visit. We’d love to meet you!

If you know Jared, you know he’s always out to have a good time and that sometimes (let’s be real… often times) means he can be a bit mischievous. Growing up, Jared’s consequence for misbehaving meant helping his Grandpa around the farm on Saturdays starting at 6am… which meant he spent most Saturdays digging fence posts bright and early. Despite his roughish tendencies, Jared grew up to have a career in the medical field for several years until deciding his real passion lay much closer to home.

Meanwhile, Katrina, a native New Mexican, and quite the rule follower, pursued making a difference through working in the non-profit world. After a few years in California, Katrina continued pursuing her dreams by moving to Charlotte… although at the time, she had no idea that her dreams would include a local boy who got voted best eyes in high school. Katrina met Jared on the very first day of living in Charlotte when he walked right up, introduced himself, sat down next to her… and the rest is history.

Upon getting engaged, Jared and Katrina decided to invest in Jared’s heritage and renovate the land that belonged to Jared’s great grandparents. After several months and preparation, the wedding was everything that could have been hoped for and more (check out the video recap below!) It didn’t take long for a new idea to be birthed in our hearts and upon getting back from the honeymoon we purchased our first addition and Gober Farms was born.

Whether it be online or in person, we look forward to you joining us in Living in the Good Ol’ Days here at Gober Farms.

With Love,

Jared & Katrina Gober
